Pentagon Executive Protection Services, a subsidiary of Pentagon Protective and Investigative Services Inc., was formed in 2000 to assist clients in the area of business risk. Given the environment in today’s business world, the need for quality security consulting, threat management and protective services is increasing.
Pentagon Executive Protection Services is a fully licensed and insured security firm headquartered in southern California. Since 2000, we have offered a full spectrum of services tailored to meet the needs of our clients. We are licensed by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services and hold associations with some of the most reputable security and investigative associations in the country.

Executive protection (EP), also known as close protection or personal protection, refers to security and risk mitigation measures taken to ensure the safety of VIPs or other individuals who may be exposed to elevated personal risk because of their employment, high-profile status, net worth, affiliations or geographical location.
Executive Protection is “proactive” and protects specific people and property. Police are “reactive” and protect all people and all properties and enforce the law.

We are based in California and are licensed to provide protective services here, but we can go anywhere. Our teams are composed of former law enforcement officers who through the enactment of bill HR218 (Law Enforcement Safety Act 2004), can carry anywhere in the USA. Any International travel needing firearms will probably be handled by one of our strategic partners (from that country) and will be accompanied by our team.
Our clients range from High level executives, government officials, celebrities and common everyday citizens who need the special services of our company. Some clients have been discussed on our About Us page and others have asked to be kept confidential and we have signed NDA’s (Non-Disclosure Agreements).
Our teams are trained constantly. Our personnel have graduated from top executive protection schools and have ongoing training courses in firearms, hand to hand combat/martial arts, observance skills with our 5 Channels of Communication course (See About Us for information), as well as education on liability and legal practices specific to this industry.
Executive protection costs will vary depending on the client needs, threat level/risk and short or long term assignments. We bill at industry standard rates for experienced personnel, which unfortunately for some can be financially overwhelming. Most companies are charging between $85 to $125 per hour currently (2021). These rates are negotiable based on risk, need and length of contracts.
Yes, we have an abundant level of insurance to protect you and us. We carry commercial general liability, commercial automobile liability and workers compensation insurance for our employees. We also have a corporate attorney that assists us in operations in order to safeguard our company and clients.
Our proactive approach to security management allows us to respond to situations and events before they become problems. Prevention is the highest form of security.
We have found that having one agent assigned to you specifically works best. In some instances, we have rotated agents in and out based on the logistical needs of the client, but that is discussed and approved by the client in our initial consultation. In negotiations with providing security for the Dixie Chicks country music band, logistically we informed them we would have to rotate agents due to the length of the detail and constant travel.
